The aluminum laminated film is a composite material composed of an outer nylon layer (ON layer), a middle aluminum foil layer (AL layer), and an inner heat seal
layer (PP layer). Adhesive is used for pressure bonding between layers.
1. Applications:
Aluminum plastic film is the key material for the packaging of lithium pouch cells. After the monolithic battery is assembled, the battery is sealed with an aluminum laminated film, and the aluminum laminated film plays a role in protecting the contents. Compared with packaging materials such as steel shell, aluminum shell or plastic shell, aluminum laminated film has the advantages of light weight, thin thickness, and flexible shape design. It is widely used in many fields such as 3C consumer electronics, power batteries, and energy storage.
2.Product specifications:
Total thickness/um | 88 | 113 | 152 |
Composition | ON 20 | ON 25 | ON 25 |
AL 40 | AL 40 | AL 40 | |
PP 25 | PP 45 | PP 80 | |
Punching hole depth | ≤3.0mm | ≤4.0mm | ≤6.5mm |
Width/mm | 80、100、114、133、160、200、266、400 | ||
Length m/roll | 300、400、500 |
3.Recommendations:
(1) Choose the aluminum laminated film specifications according to the battery design thickness: battery thickness ≤3.5mm, choose 88um aluminum laminates film; battery single pit ≤5.0mm/double pit≤8.0mm, choose 113um aluminum laminated film; battery thickness 8- 16mm, choose 152um aluminum laminated film.
(2) There should be no fine particles of dust in the mold cavity of the aluminum laminated film punching shell molding die. Before operation, it must be cleaned thoroughly with a dust-free paper/dust-free cloth dipped in absolute ethanol.
(3) After the aluminum laminated film is punched into the shell, visually observe that the four corners are smooth and round, without wrinkles, and the thinnest part is ≥60% of the original film.
(4) Heat sealing temperature (reference): top side package (tab end) temperature 180-210℃, package time 2.5-5S, pressure 0.3-0.6mpa, side package temperature 175-195℃.
(5) Heat sealing effect detection:
Method 1: Use a pointed micrometer to measure the sealing area. The thickness of the top side seal (at the tab) is: tab metal tape thickness + 2* ON layer thickness + 2 * AL layer thickness + (tab glue thickness +2 *PP layer thickness) *85%. The thickness of the side seal is: 2 *ON layer thickness + 2 *AL layer thickness + 2* PP *85%.
Method 2: Cut a 15mm wide sealing area and peel it off with a peel tester. Visually observe that the PP layer of the aluminum laminated film and the tab glue are milky white, and the peel strength is ≥30N/15mm.
